Time-lapse is a technique utilised by many of the residents here at the studio. Next week, as part of our Photomonth events program we will be hosting a talk by 1day6cities. Patrick and Daniel will be discussing all things time-lapse including their Commonwealth War Graves commission and exciting new global time-lapse photography project set to take place on 11.11.11

International Street Photography Awards 2012

Following this years London Street Photography Festival, entry into the International Street Photography Awards is now open, with an incredible array of prizes up for grabs. Photographers anywhere in the world are invited to submit images that capture, explore or question contemporary society and the relationships between individuals and their surroundings. The prizes include £2000, a solo exhition in London, and an all-expenses paid trip to the exhibition launch and awards ceremony in London in June 2012, worth a total of £10,000. A great project by Jotta helping support emerging artists – they commission exclusive work from graduates (currently from Central St Martins MA Fine Art), and sell for an affordable price through Culture Label. AOP Awards
One of our own, Luca Sage is doing alright this year in terms of prizes/exhibitions. First off he goes and wins ‘Best In Show’ at this years Foto8 Summershow and now he has landed two pieces in the AOP Open Awards. We will be heading down to the opening next week: Thursday 13th October.
